Browser video playback depends on your web browser and operating system's native codec support. Modern browsers natively support common codecs such as H.264/AAC in MP4 containers and VP8/VP9/AV1 in WebM containers. Video files encoded with proprietary or unsupported codecs (such as HEVC/H.265 on certain browsers, DivX, or ProRes) or legacy containers like AVI and WMV cannot be decoded by your browser's built-in media pipeline.
Can I change playback speed on my video?
Yes. You can switch playback rates between 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x (normal), 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x. Changing the playback speed only affects playback in the player and does not modify the underlying video file.
Does the player support portrait (vertical) videos?
Yes. The player uses aspect-ratio-preserving containment (object-fit: contain) to display portrait (9:16), landscape (16:9), and square (1:1) videos in their native dimensions without stretching or visual distortion.
Can I watch videos in Picture-in-Picture mode?

Does opening large video files consume all my RAM?

Why does my video play with no sound?
If your video plays visually without audio, verify that the volume slider is not at 0 and that the mute toggle is off. Also check if the audio track was encoded using an unsupported audio codec (such as AC3 or DTS, which many web browsers cannot decode).
