About Video Player

The Video Player utility lets you preview and play video files stored on your computer or mobile device directly inside your web browser. Built on standard HTML5 media APIs, the player runs 100% locally on your machine—your video file is never uploaded to an AllAdvanceTools server, preserving total privacy and eliminating waiting times or bandwidth limits. Alongside standard playback controls, the tool provides variable playback rate adjustment (0.25x to 2x), Picture-in-Picture floating mode, fullscreen support, and a technical metadata panel displaying essential information such as exact video dimensions, file size, duration, and MIME container type.

How to Use Video Player

  1. 1Select a video file from your device or drag and drop it into the upload dropzone.
  2. 2The browser creates a local object URL and reads the video metadata instantly.
  3. 3Use the player controls to play, pause, seek through the timeline, adjust volume, or switch playback speed.
  4. 4Check the Video Information panel below the player to inspect resolution, duration, and file size.
  5. 5Click "Choose another video" or "Remove video" whenever you want to test another file.

🔒 Privacy First — Your Data Never Leaves Your Device

Your privacy is our highest priority. The Video Player tool processes all your files and data entirely within your web browser using modern JavaScript and WebAssembly technology. This means your sensitive data stays completely private, secure, and under your control at all times — even if you are offline after the page has loaded.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Video Player upload my video to a server?

No. Your selected video is played locally in your browser using standard browser object URLs and is never uploaded to an AllAdvanceTools server or any third-party service.

Why won't my MP4 or video file play?

Browser video playback depends on your web browser and operating system's native codec support. Modern browsers natively support common codecs such as H.264/AAC in MP4 containers and VP8/VP9/AV1 in WebM containers. Video files encoded with proprietary or unsupported codecs (such as HEVC/H.265 on certain browsers, DivX, or ProRes) or legacy containers like AVI and WMV cannot be decoded by your browser's built-in media pipeline.

Can I change playback speed on my video?

Yes. You can switch playback rates between 0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x (normal), 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x. Changing the playback speed only affects playback in the player and does not modify the underlying video file.

Does the player support portrait (vertical) videos?

Yes. The player uses aspect-ratio-preserving containment (object-fit: contain) to display portrait (9:16), landscape (16:9), and square (1:1) videos in their native dimensions without stretching or visual distortion.

Can I watch videos in Picture-in-Picture mode?

Yes. On browsers and operating systems that support the HTML5 Picture-in-Picture API, you can activate PiP mode to keep the video playing in a compact, floating window while navigating other tabs or applications.

Does opening large video files consume all my RAM?

No. The player streams your video file locally through the browser's media playback pipeline via a local blob URL rather than reading the entire file into JavaScript memory, allowing smooth playback of large files without excessive memory consumption.

Why does my video play with no sound?

If your video plays visually without audio, verify that the volume slider is not at 0 and that the mute toggle is off. Also check if the audio track was encoded using an unsupported audio codec (such as AC3 or DTS, which many web browsers cannot decode).
